Evening Reception at the Los Angeles Zoo
Wednesday, September 22nd 6:00PM-9:00PM
Join your colleagues for a wonderful evening of networking and education with at the fabulous
LA Zoo. Known as one of the premier zoos in the United States they will be our host for an
event that is not to be missed. Hors D’ Oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available
for the purchase of beverages on the under the stars on the Keck Plaza. Transportation will be
provided from the Sheraton Universal Hotel’s Ballroom Circle Entrance and will run back and
forth between the hotel and the zoo from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.
During the reception Nick Dragotta of Howtoons will show us all what happens when you take a comic book artist, an inventor, and a toy designer. Their mission is to provide engaging content that teaches kids how to build things. Howtoons combines instructions into the storytelling with a foundation in STEM, inspiring creativity through art and imagination. In 2006, Howtoons was included in the Cooper-Hewitt’s National Design Triennial, recognized for its inventive way of integrating instructions into storytelling. Aside from Howtoons, Nick has worked for every major comic book company, most predominately Marvel Comics, drawing many major characters from Spider-Man to the X-Men.
